A few months ago, thanks to Instagram, I met Alireza Karimi Moghaddam.
Alireza is an Iranian illustrator and his art form is really fantastic for me.
I love his way of drawing, especially the style with which he depicts Van Gogh, making him alive and modern. Giving him that happiness that has failed in his real life.

One day, taken by enthusiasm, I write a message to Alireza and tell him about my idea of making a ring together. We chatted for a long time about the project until it was realized.
Alireza with his art has given life to a new “painting” by drawing a cheerful and smiling Van Gogh who proudly embraces his fantastic sunflowers.
I made this idea wearable. Making a Chevalier model ring faithfully reproducing its design.
I think it’s one of the funniest jobs I’ve ever done so far.

Although my work is made up of drawings and jewels, it was nice to experience a shared idea, which a few months earlier was just a crazy idea. Modeling metal, playing with colors, feeling the idea in my hands was a unique experience.

The realization of this ring was not entirely immediate, on the contrary it is the result of months of intense work. I brought Alireza into my world, that of jewelry, we chose materials, colors, we chose the model that best suited her design, it was a real team effort.
I worked thinking about all the technical aspects of my work, always considering Alireza’s idea and opinion.
Technique and enthusiasm were the right mix for the final result.
